The Delaware County Assessment Center is a community-based service of the Delaware County Juvenile Court. The purpose of the Assessment Center is to provide early intervention support for youth and families outside of the court system and to prevent out-of-home placement due to family instability.

The Assessment Center serves at-risk youth, ages 5-18, with the following concerns:

  • Habitual unruly behavior
  • No current support services
  • Chemical dependency
  • Potential out-of-home placement
  • Repeated social services interventions
  • Parenting support
  • Significant emotional disturbances
  • Lack of basic resources

The following services are provided at the Assessment Center:

  • Assessments
  • Mental Health/Behavioral Support
  • Referral to Chemical Dependency Services
  • Onsite Brief Interventions
  • Diversion Programming
  • Home-based Services
  • Crisis/Safety Interventions
